Remote session can be very nice simple and effective or a total disaster, resulting in many additional hours spend to get it done, not get it done as expected or even to fail in the worst scenario. Noise is very disturbing for voice talent and other participants. It makes communication very hard and unefficient. Because of troubled session the end product will suffer and might not reach it's potential and your expectations- . As your time is precious, we would like to provide a guidance for a proper way to approach the remote session.
Always use headset, never device built-in microphone and speakers.
There are numerous reasons why we strogly advice against using built-in laptop or screen microphones and speakers.
- Devices have built-in mirophone and speakers very close to each other, therfore a sound loop is always present. That means other remote session participants will hear back themselfs with a delay by signal going from your speaker to your microphone. Noise reduction algorithms are used to cancel the loop, but the results can vary and the resutl can be really bad.
- We want to hear you alone, not entire office, your air condition and maybe rain puring on your roof window.

Mute your microphone when you are not speaking
Most of the remote recording/conference platforms apply the same priciple. When you mute your microphone within the app, you can temporarily un-mute it by holding a space button. We suggest to use this method.
This is our preferred remote method. It provides highest possible bi-directional audio and video quality with lowest latency possible. No special software, hardware or creation of user accounts is needed. Simply enter your name and join the session.
