Pheko finished Matric in the year 2009 at Suiderlig High School in Vanderbijlpark. He was part of the schools representative council (RCL) from 2007 to 2009. He was also part of the schools dance group, which won national colours in 2008, this was where his love for performing arts began. Also considering the fact that both his parents were also actors in Mohlohadi/Bophelo Ke Semphego and supporting cast in sitcoms such as Emzini Wenzinsizwa, so the apple clearly did not fall far from the tree. Due to the fact that there was no drama or performing art at his high school, he opted to study his second love which is Information Technology from 2010 to 2012. He has a national diploma in I.T.he later went on to study his first passion, motion pictures at AFDA Film School from 2013 to 2015. He has a bachelor’s degree in Motion Pictures. He majored in Screen Acting, Stage Acting, Script writing, Directing, Production Design, Costume Make-Up and Styling and on his final year, he majored in Film/TV Producing. Pheko had the best screen performance in 2013 for a student film called ‘Bare Knuckle’.
